I don't really find myself reading a magazine. I have never been someone to get my favorite snack, a magazine, sit and relax. Though I decided for this assignment to check out what the deal is with them, so I decided to look at People. I remember when I was younger my mom flipping through it as we waited in line at the store. I know that People magazine is not the most stimulating magazine but, I did find it be interesting. At first glance the cover is completely filled with pictures of celebrities. Through out the magazine the pictures continue while the print seems to be less important and smaller. Most of the images are of celebrities. Even some AD's are of celebrities.

Most of the pictures of white celebrities and the stories tend to be on more important than stories of people of color. After filliping through the magazine I finally found a few celebrities of color and those stories were more about "Who wore it better". A lot of the photos of diversity was also of people who went to an event and they were there. Usually they are filled in with a majority of pictures of white people at the event.

People magazine has diversity- just not a lot. Part of the problem though is, Hollywood. Most celebrities are white and are getting the biggest roles. When White celebrities are the ones prominently in the spotlight that is who tabloid have to focus their attention on.
